Audio Systems: wiring up a 5.1 surround sound system, speaker port, owners manuals

Question
hi umm im a bit stuck  becuase iv got these speakers 4 small ones, 1 a bit longer then the rest which i would presume would go in the middle as i believe that it is a 5.1 surround system and ther is also a sub woofer but the problem is i found these in my room in a bag with no idea wer they came from and no manual. ther are 7 sets of wires 1 of them is already joint to the sub and the rest are just roled up with the ends protruding one black one red. at the back of each speaker there is one red one black port were the wire fit in but i dont know how 2 connect it to my p.c because ther is no cable that will go into the p.c speaker port. i do have a few wires from my old speakers that disconnect from the speakers. one end of the wire is red and black (2 seperate) and they adjoin in to 1 so i can plug them into my p.c

Answer
could you send me model numbers?  The owners manuals are usually available on the manufacturers web pages.

If it is a surround system it may not be PC compatible - many of them are not. And, it depends on your pc if it has 5.1 board in it.

Send model numbers to cleggsan @ ieee.org
