Audio Systems: Static in radio, but just in one room, static hum, morning radio

Question
When I got home late last night, I turned on my radio which is always set to the
same station every night- nothing but loud static hum.  I could change stations
but with a very loud hum while searching.  I moved the radio and it  worked fine
in another room.  I have not added or subtracted any equipment in the "static"
bedroom.  What could be suddenly wrong there?  It is still acting the same this
morning.

Answer
Radio's are a funny animal. RF frequencies can be generated by cell phones, motors and other electronic devices. If the radio works fine in other rooms and the static just started in the room it lives in then I would first suspect a new electronic addition in that room.
