QUESTION: I would like for the audio level to show on the tv when in tv mode. Cannnot make that happen.  When watching a movie in DVD mode the sound level will show on the tv when changing the level.

ANSWER: All TV's are not created equal. With that in mind, what works on one may not work on another. Moreover when you control your DVD are you doing it from the DVD remote control or the TV? If you've programmed a universal then it will be using commands from both TV and DVD. Do not confuse which device your controlling since and indication of volume can show up on your TV for either DVD or TV. Lastly there should be a display button on the TV remote control that should take commands out of hidding.

QUESTION: I am using the sound system remote for both tv and dvd watheing. We have a Sony TV.  Do not see a botton on the tv remote for taking commands out of hidding. Thanks

I am an engineer in professional electronics. If something is actually wrong with your equipment I can usually help you troubleshoot it as long as your not cryptic about your explanation. If I were you I would either refer to the operating manual or call Sony customer support. They make the unit I don't. It's virtually impossible for me to know (or want to know) the idiosyncracies of consumer electronics. I would have to say that with all of the manufacturers and years that they've been making equipment we have to be talking of about more that 50,000 devices in the last 5 years.
