Audio Systems: ProTools, track versions, dual disc

Hi.  Do you know anything about ProTools and how to run it?  I also wanted to know how much it costs to get the program.  I have seen Barry Manilow use it on his dual disc of the 70s CD and I am starting to get interested in it.

Protools is very powerful pro and semi pro software tool. It is used by the best in the music business. In order to use the latest version you need a very good computer (preferably a mac)with dual processing. It is by no means simple to figure out. You need to either take classes if you really want to get the most out of it. There are two track or multi-track versions.
