Audio Systems: adding equipment to hybrid, honda civic hybrid, honda civic hybrid sedan

Question
I have a 2006 Honda Civic hybrid sedan without the navigation system.  I already have a 10" subwoofer with enclosure, and an amplifier that is powering only that component - well, that was how I had it set up in my old car that wasn't a hybrid but still a honda civic.  My question is, is it possible to have them in the trunk and connected to the rest of the car audio which is the original factory equipment, without causing a problem in what makes the hybrid well..a hybrid?  And is there anything I should ask that might save my car from disaster-death-by-stereo-installer when trying to find someone who knows what they're doing when it comes to this kind of vehicle?

Answer
you can add your system but it is best to buy one more additional battery and install in the trunk
that way the voltage is not going to drop and the electronic system in the car is not going to notice
we have done 4 hybrids only 1 Honda and no problems
