Audio Systems: GM Factory Stereo Interchangability, chevy tahoe, 2003 chevy tahoe

I recently purchased a 2003 Chevy Tahoe which came with a factory AM/FM Radio only. I thought "no big deal" I'll just upgrade to a CD/MP3/Satelite Radio version.

I've tried aftermarket but I lose all my chimes and warnings. So, I'm trying to find a factory upgrade.

When I ask my local GM Dealer, they say they can only look up the part numbers for "TAHOES" which in 2003, only came with a CD player, at best. (that's hard for me to believe)

I've had others online indicate that later factory units with CD/MP3/Satelite will work with my 03 Tahoe, but caution to check with my local dealer, who doesn't know.

How can I check to see if a newer stereo unit will work with my 03 Tahoe?  I have a million GM Part #'s that the units all look like they should fit and work.  Please help.

all gm Chevy radios  from 2003 to 2005 some 2006 are the same and have the same plugs and will work on that vehicle ,not the bose version  if the brackets are the same it ill fit your vehicle
the new radio needs to  go to the dealer for installation because the vin number of the donor vehicle is on that radio and it is not going to turn on in your vehicle  1 to 2 hours dealer labor fee

also if you go aftermarquet you need to use this interface
