Audio Systems: Car stereo removal keys, dual xd7500, car stereo removal

I would like to know if you know where i can get removal keys for a Dual XD7500 car stereo and if not where the lock tabs are on the unit so i can "jimmy-rig" some keys. I'm trying to get the unit out to install the audio cables to an amp and woofer and do a repair on the motor in the unit.

Removal tool maybe more of a function of the car it is installed in than the unit itself.  If a mounting bracket has been installed you would have to comply with its locking tabs.

Next, go to www.installer.com/tools/ and search for the removal tool that you might need.  Often by looking at the tool you can fashion one of your own.

If you look at the installation manual for this model and if it is now mounted in the typical fashion you can see the tabs and clicks that must be depressed to get it out of the mounting sleeve.  If you do not have the manual, download it at:

PS: I found some removal keys listed on ebay, but you would probably be required to buy the whole unit which has the keys included.  BUT: one of them was listed at $2.00 plus shipping.
