can i hook up a 1500 watt sub and amp to a stock hyundai xg300 deck?

Yes, always.  But it may not be an easy one.

If the head deck has rca outs or sub outs you are in duck heaven.  If not you will need a conversion kit.  For that you go to www.installer.com or similar sites that sell sub hi-lo kits and wiring harnesses.

Crutchfield.com has some good instructions and ideas on installation if you need help.

If you are going to be running strong bass at max levels you may want to add a power cap to smooth out the demand on the battery and alternator of the car.
