Audio Systems: removing stock cassete player, jeep grand cherokee laredo, jeep grand cherokee

I have a 96 jeep grand cherokee laredo and would like to install a new aftermarket cd player, the install is what i know but what i dont know is how to remove the stock cassette player. I hear you have to remove part of the dash, can you clear this up for me? thanks..

There are no specific links to the jeep model you have, but if you go to the Chrysler section and look at some of the trucks you will find they are very similar and the removal pictures there will undoubtedly give you some creative ideas on removing your unit.

If you search the Internet there is a company (I forgot the name) that will sell for about $5.00 a manual for removal and installation of just about any car ever made.

Also, if you purchased your replacement aftermarket from crutchfield.com they will supply you with the installation and removal instructions and the necessary wiring harness for the installation.

Just a few ideas for you.
