the factory radio just quit working one day an i press the power button but it still won't come on? any suggestions?

If there's no power even after you try to turn the power button on, then the only other thing that comes to mind is to check the fuse for the radio. Short of that, if you haven't a bench to test the radio on outside the car, then you should probably take it to an auto mechanic that knows electronics or a specialist that only works with electronic auto accessories.
