Audio Systems: 2002 Eclipse audio, eclipse audio, external amplifier

I recently had to punch in the theftlock code to power up my 2002 Eclipse radio after putting in a new battery. The radio accepted the code and everything works fine except there is no sound going to the speakers. The shop checked for a bad fuse, nothing was found. Any ideas on why there is no sound coming out of the speakers?

I am giving short answers today: it is the 4TH OF JULY!

Is there an external amplifier that needs rebooting?  Check your manual for any other possible resets or restoration requirements.

Of course, in the worst case the power amps feeding the speakers could have gotten damaged; a common problem when repowering after battery has been pulled out.
