Audio Systems: Radio problems and need code, radio problems, audi quattro

Hello, I just bought a 1996 audi quattro wagon, an a6 and the radio won't work, nothing happens the previous owner must have disconnected something but I can't figure out where to look, also if I do find it I will need the code I have no manual for the car and I misplaced the previous owners number please help!!!!

maybe the radio is not plug in  or there was a aftermarquet and this radio was put back but not install
yes you need the code to turn on the radio but it there was power the radio needs to show SAFE or LOCK  

to get the code remove the radio and take it to your audi delaer you also need to prove ownership of the vehicle
