Audio Systems: BMW CD Charger, hi boss, sole dealer

Question
HI boss,
I live in saudi arabia, and I bought a BMW 528i, 96 model. Unfortunately there was no CD changer in the deal.
I checked here in the market and found no second hand one (the sole dealer's price is too expensive for me). However, I found a an Alpine with my friend, which fits in the trunk's holder, but the plug system is different. Should I find an alternative (such as adapters or something) or just look in Europe for BMW compatible CD changer?
Thank you so much.

Answer
You will need an adapter that can match your car system to the changer.  There are many sources for things like this. Try:

http://www.installer.com/adapt.html

or Crutchfield.com and others that you can find by googling for them.

If you can't find an adapter that will work with your particular components you may have to start afresh!

Hope this helps.

I could have given you a more specific reply but it requires more information about the car and the radio/head unit now in the car so that the specific adapter can be obtained.  But I think you can research that from sources on the internet.  Best wishes to you.
