Audio Systems: harmon/kardon, series loudspeakers, harmon kardon

Question
Can you shed any light on the quality of harmon/kardon products vs. those of comparable price from Denon, Onkyo, et al?  Shopping for mid-level A/V equipment, any suggestions.  Will be using Polk Rti series loudspeakers, sub and surrounds.  Thank you,

I can give you my personal opinion.  From my limited experience with HK I would rate Denon and Onkyo one step higher in overall quality, design and reliability factors.  Denon and Onkyo are BMW or Mercedes class products; HK is more Volvo or Buick class product if that gives you a relative ranking.....  again, just my opinion.

Polk are good stuff for upper middle class speakers.  They go well with Denon.
