Audio Systems: Bose Lifestyle 5 System, bose lifestyle 5, active sub woofer

Question

I have a Bose Lifestyle 5 system which I bought in 1996 and would like to know if there is any way that I can hook this up to a Yamaha RX-V27oo that I just bought.

I have been told that the Bose system is proprietary and indeed there is no obvious way to connect the wires from the active sub woofer to the RX-V2700 system.

Not sure what you want to do.  Why would you want to connect them?  

If you look at the back side of the Bose unit you will find it does have stereo ooutputs that can feed into a stereo input on the Yamaha - if that is what you want to do.

It also has a stereo aux input if you wanted to send a signal from the Yamaha to the Bose.

Such connections and others are well covered in the owners manual for the Bose unit.  Please refer to it for more detail.

If there are other matters, please let me know as I am unclear as to what your question is.
