Audio Systems: Installation of Dual Marine CD Player, hidalgo, cd player

Dear Sir,

I just bought a Dual MXDMA80 marine receiver (CD Player) and I was wondering if I can install it in an angled position from the horizontal. My boat console has almost no room for horizontal installation of the unit.

DUAL does not have the manual for this model posted on their site but I checked a couple of other manuals and they did not have any discussion about vertical or angle mounting.

From experience, however, let me assure you the concern is keeping the disc in the cd/dvd tray.  Usually, products approved for vertical mounting will have a lockdown mechanism of some kind to keep the disc from slipping out it tray during play.

So, depending on the angle you must tolerate in the installation is what you must look at. If the disc is not angled enough to have it fall out I think you are going to be okey.
