Audio Systems: MTX subwoofers, sidney hook, rough shape

Question
I just inherited 2 MTX 12" woofers, "thunder 6000's" I hooked em up to my buddys audio, but it only worked for a minute, The connectors are in rough shape did i possibly wreck the subs? We plugged his 12" pioneer back in and it was fine...Should I just replace the connectors? And what kind of box should i build for them, theyll be put behind the seat in truck, or maybe under the seats...

Answer
Sidney,

Hook up am ohmmeter to the input connectors and see if the speakers have continuity, first.
If the connectors are afu and you are thinking about replacing them, then test from the wire leads instead of the connectors to see if the speakers are ok.
Once you determine if they are salvagable, email me back (using the private question option) and we can see what to do on an enclosure based on your available space :)

There is not much reason to solve a box requirement for speakers that do not work.
