Audio Systems: 1989 honda accord lxi radio, 12 volt, honda accord

i bought an lxi 5 speed and the harness was cut recently i installed a brand new pioneer 3900 everything works fine but it seems as though the memory does not work im so confused any help also i have to hook up the constant 12 volt source with the power wire to even get a display, and my clock on the dash doesnt stay set either ????

There are two power lines that must be hooked up.  One is directly from the battery through a fuse.  You must find that one from the car and it connects 12v permanently to keep power on the pioneer all the time.

The other 12v line comes through the ignition and is the "Turn on" line to trigger the unit into ON mode.

Based on the web www.installdr.com the wiring colors will be most likely this:

           Accord                         New Radio
Pin:  O +12 Volt Ignition Wire Yellow w/ Red Stripe Red
Pin:  P +12 Volt Battery Wire White w/ Yellow Stripe Yellow
