Audio Systems: zenith plasma popped, loud pop, zenith

our zenith plasma is 16 months old (only had a 1 year warranty) and it made a loud pop and stopped working - i found others on the Internet with the same problem. is it something my husband can fix if he can buy the part? do you know what it needs? what should i do? i havn't even paid it off yet! :(

The power supply has probably blown a fuse. It may have been a power line spike, or the transformer may have shorted out inside. Regardless, do not take it apart, have it serviced at a Zenith repair center. Zenith is owned by LG from Korea now I think...
