Audio Systems: dvd, oem system, 2006 ford explorer

i just bought a 2006 ford explorer with the flip down factory dvd system and i was wondering if u can listen to the radio while the tv is on in the rear.the sound comes out of the speakers in the explorer when dvd is on even when u turn the head phones on.i dont have the manual for it cause it didnt come with it i quess the previous owner took it..

Sorry, I don't know.  If it is an aftermarket system you can download the owners manual from their web sites.

If it is Ford oem system, you will need to check a manual. I suggest you go to a Ford dealer and just ask them to look at the owners radio manual from one of their cars on the lot; then give it back to them. If you buy them from ford they cost a fortune!

PS: In the vehicles I have owned you CANNOT listen to the radio while the vcr or dvd is running.
