Audio Systems: fuses keeps blowing, hifonics amp, going in the right direction

hi how you doing i have a problem i connected my cd player and it was working fine and then i connected my amp  it is a 750watt rms hifonics amp and soon as i turnd the car on the radio fuse blew aswell as the amp power line so i changed the fuses on both and now when i put a fuse in the radio part and turn on the car it jus blows the fuse and it doesnt turn on the radio i dont know what the problem is i dont think my cd player is blown because the fuse at the bak of the cd player is fine so i'm not sure why this keeps on happening i even disconnected the amp remote wire and also took out the fuse and it styll fries the fuse once i plug it into my cd player please can any1 help me?

It sounds like cross wiring of some kind. I think you will have to pull the units and bench test them to make sure they are working correctly, then recheck the wiring very carefully and make certain you know exactly where all the wires are going.  There is no room for a mistake, as you have learned.

To bench test, pull the head unit and the amp out; hook them up outside the car. If you do not have a 12v supply, use long wires to power up the units from the car battery.  Connect a known good speaker directly to one of the audio output channels on the amp.  Check it out with a cd running in the head unit. Then, check each amplifier one by one.

When you have satisfied yourself the cd player and amps are all working properly outside the car you can turn your attention the car wiring.  If it is an older car you can usually find something that will help on www.installdr.com or one of the other sites.

Also, you can purchase wiring harnass and adapter kits from crutchfield.com for the exact car and model you are installing to.
