Audio Systems: Voyager Audio, factory amps, chrysler voyager

Question
QUESTION: Hi, I have an 2003 Voyager with original radio and want to replace for an JVC. I have the adapter and the cable for the amplifier but i dont have idea where is installed the amplifier to conect it with teh adapter cable. Thanks lot.

ANSWER: I'll need some more details. Are you adding more amps? If not, this is a basic install.
The JVC will install in place of the factory radio, and you should buy an adapter harness to connect to the JVC wiring harness. As long as you hook up the blue wire on the deck to the blue wire on the adapter harness,it will turn on any factory amps your van has. You will also need a Dodge install kit to mount in the factory holes.
The kit and harness should cost no more that $30.00 at most car audio shops.

QUESTION: Ok,i will intent to explain the problem. Maybe i dont have explained correctly. The Chrysler Voyager i have has an original radio and the speakers have built-in amplifier. When i change the radio to an JVC and turn the radio on it sounds well. Now i turn off the ignition key and on again. The radio goes on but there is no sound.I turn off the ignition and stick off the radio. Stick it on again and turn the ignition on, and again there is sound.
I have one conector for Power another for the speakers and an third one little conector with an red/white wire. And at the back of the Chrysler radio are two wires for ground.
I hope i have explained enough god. Let me know if you need more details.
Thank you for your pacienc.
ANSWER: Ah, so the install is done already, I understand. As for the no sound after cycling the key on/off problem, that is unusual.  Does it act the same when the van is running? Or does it only do this when parked and using the accessory power position on the key? Dodge ignition switches are notorious for melting and loosing connection. If it only does it on one position, you could just test the power wires to the radio with a test light and make sure they stay on.

QUESTION: ok,the jvc radio goes allways on when i turn on ignition but the speakers doesn't sound anywhere.I have seen that the speakers has built-in amplifier, and i have conect the blue wire from the radio to the original blue wire correctly so that the amplifier gets signal to turn on,but there is no sound. The Voyager LX is an 2001 model, not an 2003, that was an mistake from me.Hope you can help me to finish already this instalation.
ANSWER: Now you need to check for any blown fuses in both fuse boxes. The fuse that supplies power to the Infinity speakers may have popped. Also, was the JVC new? Have you tested it for output? If not, have a shop bench test it to make sure it's internal amp is not damaged.

QUESTION: The radio is brand new and it sounds in another car with passive speakers correctly. And the voyager system sounds well when i conect again the factory radio.

Answer
Did you hook up any wires labeled "mute"? You should leave those disconnected and taped off. Otherwise, go over your connections, something is not wired correctly. Some adapter harness ground connections should not be used either, just try it with only the backstrap cable as ground.
