Audio Systems: 1990 Buick Reatta Radio, 1990 buick reatta, buick reatta

Question
I have a 1990 Buick Reatta. A cassette tape was stuck in the tape player. The radio didn't work because it thought it had a tape playing. One day the unit just wouldn't power up. Since I didn't want to take the radio apart, right now, I was just interested in getting the tape out so at least I would have a radio. We pulled the radio out far enough to take off the faceplate. That allowed us to get to the cassette tape. We got the cassette tape out, having to destroy it, no matter, and plugged everything back in. Turned on the radio...still no power. Does not turn on at all. Double check plugs in back all ok. So I checked the fuse panel. I have no clue what fuse runs what. The book doesn't specify. The fuse panel does some what but still doesn't show which is radio. Checked regular fuses, all good. All other displays work fine. There are relays also, one says R.A.P. Accessory so I pulled that one. I guess that one is the one to try to replace. I can't find a description anywhere of what is what, other than the headlights, for the fuse pane. Do you think it is a fuse/relay? If not any other suggestions? I couldn't get the radio completely out because I don't know how to disconnect the antennae wire. It doesn't screw or plug in,it is a power antennae, and seems to go inside the radio.
As you can tell I am pretty much clueless. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

Answer
First off, this is one of the few cars around that there are no easy options to install a new stereo. Yours has a weird "tv screen" in the dash right? If so, you are best off to send it for repair. Check with a local GM dealer and see where they send Delco radios to be repaired.
Otherwise, a custom install could be done by a good car audio shop. The wiring is plain GM, it just needs a plastic mount made to fit the opening. Something to consider once you get a quote on how much it will be to fix the GM unit...

Cheers!
