Audio Systems: constant power to cd deck, blown fuse, gm cars

Question
QUESTION: my cd deck has constant power to it so i have to turn it on and off everytime i get out of the car so i don't drain the battery.  THe car is a Sunfire and the wiring harness has a red wire that says ignition/acc, when i hook this up to the red wire from the deck no power is given at all.  The way it is hooked up now is through the fusebox, there is 12V from there.  Is there anyway i could splice into the ignition fuse to get power that will turn off when the car is off? or how can i get it to shut off and turn on with the ignition?
ANSWER: On GM cars the switched wire is yellow, not red. Look for a blown fuse if the yellow wire does not come on in the acc position.

QUESTION: ok, well there is no yellow wire anywhere in there.. there is one extra wire that says illumination. other than that there is nothing.. are the yellow and red wires supposed to be part of the wiring harness?

Answer
I think you are looking at the harness for your aftermarket stereo, rather than the harness that is part of the car. The following link shows the wire colors your car had new;

The orange wire should be there somewhere...
