Audio Systems: factory car cd player/changer, car cd player, chrysler cirrus

Question
Have Chrysler Cirrus Lx 1998. Was very happy with  cd player/changer. Changer (in trunk) still is in good condition, but it's controller (stuck to dashboard) died and no lights up. The only information on it is Dodge sign. On the back side,"Avoid heating and sun rays". I guess sun killed it in summer time. MOPAR doesn't supply it anymore. I believe that changing of critic part in the controller could resolve the problem, but cannot find any information (what parts are especially heat sensitive, wiring diagram, BOM etc.) I hope to get your wise suggestion.

Answer
Probably just a Japanese CD changer, re-branded for Dodge dealer sales (Mopar).
If you take it out, and stop by a few well established (read old guys) car audio shops, they may be able to match it up. It may just be an older Alpine,or Clarion, etc...maybe even look on e-bay for another Mopar set.
Remember, this changer is almost 10 years old, and is going to fail eventually. I would consider swapping out the Factory stuff and replacing with new, and maybe an ipod connector instead of another changer.
