Audio Systems: 1999 dodge diesel infinity Front speakers, factory amps, dodge diesel

Question
I have replaced my stock radio with a pioneer system. With the old radio the front speakers didn't work and thew same happened with the new radio. I was told to replace the front speakers because of the built in amp in them. I did so but onlt hooked up the two speaker wires - now no sound even comes out of the back speakers.Any ideas as to how to hookup these new front speakers and get them all to work.

Answer
The problem is the amp mounted on the back of each door speaker runs the tweeter and that speaker. The rear speakers are direct, BUT you must power up the amp turn on wire using the power antenna wire from your Pioneer. The tweeters will not work if you remove the factory amps, unless you wire them up to the back of the new door speakers with a crossover.
