Audio Systems: antenna for a 1996 Maxima, digital voltmeter, power antenna

I have a 96 Maxima I am trying to replace the antenna. I have purchased a universal power antenna but the colors of the wires dont match. I am lost.

You need to read the instructions that came with the universal antenna. And you need a test light or digital voltmeter. Measure each wire with the key on, and the radio on. Then, measure each wire with the key on, but radio powered off.
With that info, you should be able to match the wires properly.
