Audio Systems: 2000 Lincoln Navigator, side pannel, lincoln navigator

Question
I see someone asked this in the past::

just got a 2001 lincoln navigator, and I am pretty sure that the sub is blown. Do you know how I take the sub out and instal a new one? I know you have to remove all the side paneling, but everywhere I take it they want a couple hundred bucks to change it, not including buying a new sub.

However, I know my right back sub was blown. No doubt, you can hear it...but just recently both of my subs in back stopped working one day out of no where. Absolutely nothing, just the speakers from the front n' back seat work. No sound from the trunk. This is all never been touched factory. What do you suggest?? and where can I get the factory sub at cost and where can i get it installed?? everywhere else i go like circuit city, keeps trying to get me to buy new subs that will take up trunk room. I'm not interested in that. I just want to keep my current set up. Please help!=[

Answer
hi  DO IT YOUR SELF
remove the rear seat and remove the righ side pannel from your truck
you will find the box with the 8 inch or 6 sub  and the amplifier you don't have to umplug it but you have to remove the screws that hold the box to the vehicle,
after that is done remove all the screws around the woofer and
move the box out a litle so you can reach behind the box there is 1 more screw in the rear side holding the magnet of the woofer,
remove the woofer and install the speaker box back in to the vehicle
when you install thew new woofer don't add the last screw in the magnet so this is a lot easy next time to get the woofer
go to this site  also this woofer is not like any other woofer that you can buy a any car audio store this is a 1.5 to 2 .0 ohms woofer

good luck
