Audio Systems: installing stereo in impala, fuse one, fuse blocks

I have installed a jensen flip out dvd in my 2005 impala, and now the instrument cluster lights dont work as well as the rear parking lights.........checked fuses....also was wondering if I had to hook up the dimmer wire from the factory harness in order for the lights to work on the dash.....

It would seem to me you have blown a fuse; one that you haven't checked.

There are two fuse blocks in the Impala.  One under the hood hear the front headlight assembly and on inside the car under the dash near the steering column.  Look there.

I suspect replacing a fuse or two will solve the problem you are having.
