Audio Systems: 1000, buck system, toyota camry

Question
I have about 1000 bucks to spend..I have a 1995 Toyota Camry.  I want to build a nice System but have no idea about the electronics of a sound system...ie..what to get from where...so what are you suggestions to buliding a good system.

Answer
well. 1000 bucks is reasonable,  you can do a decent setup for that.

fist and foremost important thing to do is change your factory cd player out for an aftermarket one. I prefer going to www.crutchfield.com for this especially if you are new to car audio.  they will provide you with written illustrated instructions specific to your vehicle for free!  they'll even include removal tools if your vehicle needs them free!
the next important thing to do is get a good quality set of speakers up front (don't worry about the rears too much, if your factory ones sound 1/2 decent just leave'm)  get a good set of components like the polk DB 6500s or something like that.
for component speakers you really should run them with an amplifier if you are planing on runing your system kinda loud.
depending on your musical taste and needs you'll probably want a subwoofer or two.

so here's a basic breakdown of a good bang for the buck system for 1 grand:

cd player - $200

4 channel amp for door speakers - $130 (power acoustik OV4-1600)

polk DB 6500's for front doors - $170

mono amp for subs - $200  (power acoustik OV1-2000D)

2 subs - $120 (2 polk db 124s at sounddomain.com)

sub box - $70 (http://www.cardomain.com/item/RTE32512)

wiring - $100 (depending on what you get)

so that totals $990!  so there you go!!! you'll need a little extra for shipping etc. but still very close to 1 grand.

If you need anything else please let me know.
