Audio Systems: radio install, aftermarket radio, fuse block

Question
After installing a aftermarket radio, my dome light and power door locks only work when the key is on. Is this related to the install or just coincendence. I used radio install kit and harness I cut no factory wires? please help!
Someone told me you have to reinstall factory radio and leave it connected behind the dash and tap in with aftermarket radio, because keyless entry is tied in with radio?

It seems to me the wiring got altered somehow by installing the aftermarket radio.

It seems the dome light and door locks got switched over to the ignition switch rather than directly to a battery circuit.  What do you think?

It is possible the factory radio is part of the system circuit but it is not a usual thing.  Your make/model may be so, but I would think you can wire past the radio and take the wire that runs the door locks and dome light to another circuit on the fuse block that gives power direct from the battery rather than off the ignition.
