Audio Systems: Component System, alpine 7875, factory speakers

Question
I have recently added the Alpine 7875 head unit to my '06 Jetta.  With the head unit turned up high, the factory speakers sound bad and distorted. Especially the tweeters.  I was wondering what kind of speaker upgrade would work for my system.  Tne head unit runs at 60x40.  I was thinking of going with a three-way component system since the front of the car already consists of three speakers in the door- one 6.5" woofer, one 4 mid-bass, and one 1 tweeter". Also, if I was to upgrade the system, would I need to use a crossover or would i just hard wire the new speakers to the connections that is already in the car.  I know that the front speakers in the doors each individually has its own connector going to it. Thanks

Answer
You forgot to ask this privately, so I will have to nutshell this answer.
If the speakers are good, you might be best off by just installing passive crossevers on the ones you have.
Look into Polk Component speakers for aftermarket upgrades.

In either case, try www.crutchfield.com
