Audio Systems: will this amp power my subs without shutting off, kenwood 1000 watt amp, kicker comp vr

Question
QUESTION: i have three kicker comp VR 12's dual 2 ohms and a kenwood 1000 watt amp on them they hit hard but they will cut off and i can turn my music back down and theyll come back on a few minutes latter the isnt gettig hot. i recentlly bought a power cap thinking that would help but it didnt. will this set up work or do a need a diffrrent amp because this amps pushes them good when its playing
ANSWER: hard to say without knowing the exact specs or model number of the kenwood amp.  just knowing its 1000 watts doesnt tell me what the minimum ohm load it will run is.
if you can get me the model number off the amp then I'll be able to help.

also, you have 3 subs with dual coils.  that's 6 coils total at 2 ohms each.  most of the time this would be wired so that each dual coil per sub is in series and then they are all wired in parallel.  this would give you a 1.33 ohm load. so you would need an amp that is 1 ohm stable.
if your amp is only 2 ohm stable then it would shut off when pushed harder which is probably your problem

but give me the model of the amp and if possible tell me how you wired the subs together.

QUESTION: IM THINKING ABOUT BUYING TO KICKER CVR,S DUAL 4 OHM SUBS WHAT DO U THINK ABOUT PUSHING THEM WITH A LANZAR VIBE 1200 0R 4000 WATT AMP

Answer
the vibe amps are pretty much absolute junk.  you've got decent subs already, there's really no need to change them.  do you know if they're hooked up as I said in my first reply?
you didnt give me the model of the kenwood so I still cant answer if the ohms are the problem though.
Please give me the model of the kenwood
