Audio Systems: 2001 pathfinder audio color codes, bose amp, rca jacks

Question
I am switching out my bose radio and trying to read the color codes to wire its replacement. There are many different diagrams on the net and my Hayes manual is too general. I have the power connected but I am unsure about the speakers and the amp remote. I do not know which one to  trust.

Answer
these guys know Bose;

But they charge you to access the information.
This adapter looks like it's made to do what you want;

Must be used with this adapter;

Basically, you need to use the RCA jacks into a line level converter, to keep the Bose amp. Otherwise, you have to find the amp and bypass it. This is a big job, and may be best done by a custom autosound shop.
If you use the adapters, it should be plug and play.
