I rewired the small black plug with a different factory plug from the same type car and i match up all colors but on this plug 6 wires did not go to nothing, i plug in  small black plug to harness and still no sound, do u no whats the problem

Hello:

Go to www.installdr.com for some basic information about the Lincoln installation and wiring scheme.

You will have to check the wiring out one by one with an ohmmeter in order to determine if you really matched the wiring up perfectly.  I like the vom at walmart for $9.83 - good investment for all car testing.  You can put the ohmmeter on each pair that you think is a given speaker; the dc resistance should be just a little bit lower than the impedance rating of the speakers in the car. For example, if the speaker is rated at 8 ohms, you should measure a dc resistance with your walmart vom of around 6 ohms.  And so on.  Does that make sense to you?

You may want to just connect an separate stand alone speaker to the output of the jvc to make sure the unit is pumping out sound. If so, that means the wiring is not correct and is not getting energy to the speakers.  If there is no sound coming from the jvc, either it is defective OR the power line is not turning on the power.  (There are two 12v lines that are connected to the unit; one from the battery and one from the ignition, etc.....  )

Hope this helps.
