Question
i'm from va. and i have a 1999 grand caravan which is modified for a wheelchar user(i'm paralyzed),but i waexchange all the factory equipment for an upgreade, better sound but with a little punch.my trunk has limited space for a propane shaped tankand the spare tire.i heard about a shallow mount sub,but which make.i was also introduced to memphis amps and speakers.what do you recommend from the type of head unit  to amps, subs and surround.my email isn't setup yet so can you post it.i would really appreciate this, thanks.

Answer
I am familiar with the Caravan as modified  for wheelchair loading.  Hope it works fine for you as the adjustments getting the chair in and out properly are sometimes fussy.

I am not so familiar with the Memphis solution.

But, I do recommend Crutchfield.com as a place for you to find out which products will fit your dash and speaker sizes that will go into the mounting spaces.  You don't have to purchase the products from Crutchfield, but if you do they will supply installation instructions and wiring harnasses for your exact car.

I like a Bazooka subwoofer where there is little space and you need flexibility in finding a mounting space.  There are many amps that will fit under the front seats and there are a number of head units that will fit this model.

Also, you can find a detailed car wiring writeup with diagrams at www.installdr.com that will help.
