what amp do i purchase for the best result with (2) 700 watt each, dual voice coil 4 ohm competition subs?

There is no "best result" amp that one can recommend.  Your best bet is to get to your local stereo shop, or if you don't have a local business to support, to Costco, Best Buy, or Sam's Club, and try them out.  Only you can decide what the best-sounding amp is, with what you're looking for above, that's within your price range.

You can also research it on the Web and read reviews.  I'm sure there's at least one forum devoted to audiophile questions.  Good luck!  Cheers, Wink
