-----Question-----
how do i remove the stereo in a 1991 chevy silverado 1500 it has the original stuff and i want to replace it with a new stereo?
-----Answer-----
you don't need to remove the stereo only the tape deck eq part
you also need a kit to install the new radio
under the dash by the acelarator pedal is the amplifier tunner box you need to unplug that all your power and speaker cables are there and they will reach to where the radio is going to install

also you can leave ignition and constant power there if you want to keep the factory clock working
good luck

-----Answer-----
rectangular  silver or black box about 8x6x1.1/2 there is 3 plugs and 1 round plug that is the antenna
you have to pull the seat to the back and go on the floor look up under the dash and you will see it is been hold by 3 screws

good luck
