Audio Systems: subs, dual voice, nessesary

i know how to do the basic stuff but i need help with my subs..when i turn my radio up my amp turns off i went to see what was wrong and they told me i wired my subs wrong.can you tell how am i suppose to wire them. there 12in subs dual voice and 1200 watts my amp is 1200 watts to

unfortunatly I need exact model numbers of the subs and amp you have. also tell me how many subs you have, and how your amp is wired.  you should've used 8 or 4 gauge power wire, fused it properly, grounded it properly etc.
