Audio Systems: HOW TO KNOW IF I FRIED MY MARINE STEREO, direct spray, marine stereo

RECENTLY INSTALLED A KENWOOD KTS-300MR STEREO IN MY BOAT.  WORKED GREAT (3 DAYS) UNTIL THE FIRST TIME A SPRAYED THE BOAT OFF.  I TRIED NOT TO GIVE THE RADIO A DIRECT SPRAY DUE TO THE FACT THAT I HAVE YET TO GET A FACE COVER TO PROTECT IT.  THE RADIO NO LONGER POWERS ON.  ANY SUGGESTIONS?

According to Crutchfield, "The waterproof front panel and fold-down CD door keep everything inside the player nice and dry.  Its' internal circuit boards are specially coated to keep salt and corrosion out"

Check the grounding point 1st be sure it is secure/tight, then the power wires and fuses.
If it still does not power up, try it out of the boat on a 12v power suppply (car or handdrill battery is ok to use) and a test speaker.
IF it still does not work it is probably dead. :(
