Audio Systems: Blow Fuse, amp power, system abuse

Question
Hey. I just took my car in to get my sound system hooked up. It was working great and the bass was pumping until later on that the the bass just cut out. This has happened before and it was a fuse that blew. The shop I went to took care of that for me, but I dont want to take it back in. Could you tell me which fuse you think is busted? The amp is on and everything and the door speakers are working. Please let me know.

Thanks

Answer
eyymm the one that is busted would be the problem!

You have got to be kidding....right?
I have no idea how the system is wired, how many fuses it might have inline, or anything about the system other than the bass does not work.
*If the amp power LED is on it may a bad amp or sub(s). :O

How about taking it to the shop one more time and asking them to tell you what is what so you can indeed fix it next time. By taking this on yourself you could feasibly burn your vehicle to the ground if you do not know what you are doing.
One other piece of advice:
If it IS blowing fuses, it is probably not setup correctly (amp levels are set too high,  ect). You should be able to have the bass all the way up, and the volume all the way up without it blowing fuses. Repeated blowing of fuses could lead to system damage. See above *.
Chances are, they would call it system 'abuse' and probably not cover it under warranty.
This is rather an odd oxymoron when THEY are the ones that were paid to install it and 'set it up' for you, but is a one way (albeit a shoddy way) for install shops to stay in biz.

You need to understand the basic components of your system (as any owner should). Then even if you still needed help, you could at least specify what is installed (component and power distribution-wise) when you ask a technical question.
