Audio Systems: 2001 civic, amp fuse, fuse blows

Question
Im haveing trouble getting power to my xdvd8181 dual 7" screen. I went out and purchased the mounting and wiring harness and have wired it correctly twice. the first time i hooked it up it recieved power and i turned it on and then ejected the screen. Then i closed it turned it off and was replacing the middle dash and all of the sudden no power. we checked for power from the stock radio connection and there was no power on the indicator light. so we replaced the acc/radio fuse in the fuse box with the standard 7.5A fuse. But still it wont turn back on after i tried to put it in. i then took it out rewired it correctly again same way and still no power. What should i Do?

Answer
see if that fuse blew again,  7.5 amps is a little light,  usually a standard cd player will draw up to 10 amps,  I'm sure the dvd with the screen probably will want up to 15 amps.  if the 7.5 amp fuse blows, try a 10 and work your way up but I wouldnt go over 15.  if the 15 blows you've got a short somewhere.
You can always try taking the radio out and holdinging the wires directly to the car battery just to be sure it's working and didnt blow.  BE VERY careful if you do this,  if you get 1 wrong wire against the car bettery its lights out for that player so do this as a last resort if you think everything is right but it just wont power up.
I'd bet on the fuse.
Good luck!
