Audio Systems: 2001 dodge dakota, dodge dakota, outer shell

Question
I have a 2001 dodge dakota with a tape deck in it. I want to upgrade to the dodge factory cd unit. Are all  dodge  stereos interchangeable? Also if you could shed some light on how in the heck do you take the outer shell of the dash off?

if its within the same year model they should interchange especially if it was a factory option ...the trim ring i cant tell you about i'm not at work and cant look at my resources ... but a good trick is to just get a good look and feel for the pieces ... look to where there might be a screw or pop clip ..also might want to hit up some forums plenty of info there
