Audio Systems: 1997 Chevy Blazer radio clock wont turn off, chevy blazer, radio clock

I have a 1997 Chevy Blazer with a factory radio. It will keep accurate time but when the ignition key is shut off the clock will not turn off. The only way to get the clock to turn off is to pull the fuse. Once the fuse is pulled everytime the car is restarted the clock reads 12:00. Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated.

it is a defect on the power supply inside the radio
the radio needs to be service you don't have to pull the fuse the power it take is very low and it is not going to kill your battery or put a black tape over the display at night
