Audio Systems: Two Amps, mtx amp, sony xplod

Question
Hello!

I have a question on how to hook up a second amp off of the one i currently have running in my car. The amp that is already hooked up is a Mtx ta 3404, its a 4 channel amp and has a cross over. The amp that i want to hook up to it is a Sony Xplod 1200 watt 2/1 channel XM-2200GTX. How would i go about connecting the Sony amp to the Mtx amp?

Thanks,
Heath

Answer
I would rather you not connect them.

The connections from the head unit to the MTX has cables going from the output to the input.  If the head unit has two outputs, use the second one to feed the xplod.  If there is not a second output on the head unit, use Y splitters in the cables and send one of the split signals to the input of the xplod.  That will do the trick.

You can buy Y splitters that have RCA Phono connections thus making it an easy job.

Let me know if you need more help or suggestions.
