Audio Systems: storing equipment, moderate climate, mild climate

Question
just wondering?  i have a pc and a, very nice, stereo w/speakers stored in a rent-a-garage, place, in portland, or.  generally a mild climate.
i'm stuck working in alaska, for awhile.  will winter temperatures damage that equipment, when stored like that?
i, of course, would not turn anything on until it warmed to room temperature.
it has been stored since may, once again, portland has a moderate climate, so, i hope summer didn't cause any damage?  although, a little late to worry about that!
hope you can put my mind at ease.............thanks!

Answer
No problem.  Biggest concern is not the temperature but the length of time.  The heat transfer paste used to conduct heat from the transistors and ICs to their heatsink dries out when not in use.  But, up to  one year of so should be no problem at all.

So, don't worry.  Everything should be okey.

PS: I know the Portland area very well; it is an ideal storage environment.
