Audio Systems: carver 400t, power amplifier, technical person

i have a 400t cube magnetic field power amplifier does not seem to be getting power at all. I have no clue what to do.  Please help

These old carvers have unique, non-conformist circuitry and they are difficult to troubleshoot for the average technical person, unfortunately.

If no power:

ONE: Check the outlet, make sure there is power on the socket. THere is a fuse port on the back - have you replaced the fuse?
TWO:  Check the line cord, wiggle both ends - which is where the most often breaks occur inside the molded plugs.
THREE:  Unplug and open up the case and look inside for a fuse near the transformer area and off the power cord entry point.
FOUR: If you have a vom and know how to use it check for power at the entry point where the power cord comes in and follow it to the power transformer, etc.
