Audio Systems: kenwood stereo and sony cd changer, cdx 757mx, factory holes

Question
I want to install a kenwood stereo in my 65 mustang because they make one that fits in the factory opening. I purchased a new sony xplode cdx-757mx at an auction before I knew the two may not be compatible. Are they compatible and is there a way to make them work together?

Answer
Cliff,

Possibly, but do not count on it.
Just about anything can be done for the right amount of custom installation money.
It will probably be much more productive to just get a system that works together out of the box and since this is going into a classic car, that would be my best advice.

You are asking a lot to fit the factory holes in the 'stang with the Kenwood AND properly interface it to the Sony changer. IF the Sony has an FM modulated tuner pack it is possible,b ut from what I see, that Sont does not have one.

I can try to see what is possible if I know the model number of the Kenwood.
In the end, do not be suprised if this needs a Kenwood changer.

Sincerely,
Jerry Mael
