Audio Systems: amp was on, but now wont turn back on, signal wire, main lead

Question
i just installed my kenwood execlon amp last night, and i had the sub hooked up and everything seemed to be working fine. when i went back to bolt the seat back down i looked, and the amp was turned off. I checked all the fuses and they werent blown, i checked the connection of all the wires and the battery and the remote turn on. Is there something that im misssing?

Answer
Dan, Hi
What you are missing is a 12v test lamp, meter or probe.

Check for 12v perm' live on the main lead AT THE AMP.

Then 12v at the signal wire (ACC) at the amp when the radio is ON and if that is all OK double check earth, if all checks out and the on-board fuses are OK, check EVERYTHING with a meter or swap as a hairline break is hard to spot, looks good but, Phut!
If all checks out then it is either the amp is fried or You have missed something as it will not be the head unit.
Hope that finds the begger.
Good luck, Peter
