Audio Systems: removing and wireing, ford zx2, bmw coupe

Question
hey i have a ford zx2 2002. I want to get a stereo that will have more amps and the stereo on this is diffent then i have ever seen. Their are four hole on the front to remove the stereo but i dont think screws are in them and if i do get it out what sould i do to replace it with because all the ac and fan are all on the same panal. Take a look at one and tell me what would be best to do with it.

Answer
The 4 holes take a standard prong removal tool, bit like a couple of 4" 'U' shaped wires about the size of the holes with a groove 1/8" from the slightly pointed end, Available at all decent audio shops and radio shack/Tandy outlets.

Facia can be changed for an adaptor panel that replaces the Ford one but has a standard ISO DIN slot for an aftermarket radio. Check out Ebay.com for this number. 320033600399

More/bigger amps will NOT always make for a better sound or even louder, one of the best systems I heard was in a BMW coupe and used 4" and 6" three ways and no sub. it's as much to do with the speakers and installation as anything, go for about 30% more than max output, any more and you will need more power to drive them, change those OEM speakers for upgrades, (doesn't have to be bigger, just better).
That should help.
